TdLab celebrates its 11th birthday!

On November 20, 2024, we celebrated our 11-year anniversary. In the afternoon, we gathered with our former and current team members to reflect on the past 11 years, share what we have taken away from our time at TdLab—both professionally and in everyday life—and experienced what connects us all.

In the evening, we were joined by our former research partners from practice as well as our supporters from the department. We discussed what makes TdLab special, whether and how transdisciplinary research proves itself in everyday life, and the challenges that arise. And we also solved the mystery of why we are celebrating 11 instead of 10 years (external page The magic number | Solothurn Tourism). Both parts of the event were framed by the "Swiss Federal Improvisation Theatre" (external page https://eit.ch/), which reminded us of our many strengths and weaknesses with great enthusiasm and humour.

A successful day, a wonderful celebration filled with exchanges, shared discoveries, diverse formats, clear structures and open spaces, the opportunity to make new connections and cultivate old friendships—just as the TdLab is and lives.
